It is Saturday evening in the distant year of 1999. The world is still peaceful, the goth scene is blooming and the writers of this larp are just about to enter elementary school. For a select group of young and not-so-young adults that means it’s time to encounter the darkness: the dark underbelly of Woensel’s Vampire larp. You’ll take on the role of a larper playing out two crucial sessions which are sure to determine the future of Woensel’s longest running larp. However, not all drama is happening in the game of Vampire. Social struggles, rivalries, and personal issues will all find their way into the game in varying ways. Will you become the most powerful vampire? Will your friendships survive? Will you still know the difference between gameplay and reality by the end of it?

Dumpster Pyre: the Masquerade seeks to dramatically recreate larp horror stories and take a critical look at issues that exist within the larp scene. Please note that it is not a comedy or parody larp. The game is played entirely in English.
